June 30, 2006, Newsletter Issue #22: Comfort Buffet

Tip of the Week

Want to have a bachelorette party that all ages can enjoy? If the bride's younger siblings and relatives are on the guest list or if naughty parties just don't interest the bride, consider a tasty alternative, put together an all dessert buffet.

When you send out the invitations, ask each guest to bring her own dessert (it might be a good idea to assign desserts so you don't have repeats). Lay out some festive table cloths, break out that bachelorette party plates and napkins, and, for goodness sake, don't forget to provide the best dessert of all: the bachelorette party cake.

Stumped on dessert ideas? Here a some suggestions: cupcakes, brownies, cookies, lemon squares, chocolate mousse, cheesecake, muffins, sundaes, banana splits, etc. A word to the wise: be sure to plan this event far enough in advance that the bride will be able to squeeze into her wedding gown on the big day!
